YES - and she was fantastic, or even stonking good
We were watcing the miserable faces in the audience, and it was amusing to see the reactions of the fellas as they tried not to notice that she was wearing an incredibly short dress!!!!
That said... why should they NOT notice.. she's got a great set of pins and a great voice that will likely one day be listed in the hall of fame!

I did notice!
- but the best part was her performance! - in what was overall a pretty "flat" and bland programme- (a squawkingly bad performance from Patti Labelle), and then on bounced Joss Stone - took a Rusty Springboard classic, made it her own, and just belted it out - it's not often that many modern performers impress me - she was superb!
I'd go so far as to put it on a par with a Stones concert I once saw, where Lisa Fisher sang with Jagger, and absolutely blew him right off stage!

I did enjoy the bon jovi bit too!!! Cor... he is just gorgeous !! Sorry
We noticed the squawks from patti too - a bit painful and Rusty did it so much better didn't she!
I agree... she made the performance her own, and was definitely the highlight of the show.

Hugh Fearnley-Twittingstall's programme on channel 4 was followed by one of those usually dreadful "Music Hall of Fame" shows - much to my amazement, they were "honouring" some decent acts (Zeppelin etc), so I left it burbling away in the background - it was musically pretty flat and boring, but one Joss Stone stood out in a big way!
She's about 19, and possesses an excellent natural "blues" voice - I saw her at Glastonbury a couple of years ago, and thought she "had the makings" ,but was performing some pretty dire numbers - last night she sang "Son of a preacher man" so well that she stood out as a shining beacon of hope amongst some pretty dire performances from several really "big names"
I hardly noticed myself, but she was also wearing a very short dress, and displaying some very attractive long legs
So, if you've never come across her before, give her a listen - she can't half sing!

Found a couple of mp3s - not bad.Martin wrote:So, if you've never come across her before, give her a listen - she can't half sing!
Then did a google image search - her "image" is rather at odds with her voice! She looks like just another packaged late teens popster doing the barbie look. At the risk of sounding like an old codger, I feel like saying "Oy, at least put a coat on you'll catch your death of cold in that".I hardly noticed myself, but she was also wearing a very short dress, and displaying some very attractive long legs![]()
