T***o T***o uber alles - a night of contrasts

Post: # 42401Post pskipper »

I've been lucky enough to get some free demijohns from some nice people in Bradford (Hooray I can empty the freezer of frozen fruit and ferment it now), so my evening started off with a nice trip, a little chat and a surprised thank you when I gave them a jar of homemade tomato chutney to show my appreciation. On the way home I decided to stop at T***o and get some fruit juice for racking (thinking that racking the wild plum wine with blueberry juice could be quite nice). :drunken: ....

Aaaargh, they've opened the second floor and now there isn't anything that you can't buy. I wandered around lost and stressed trying to find the fruit juice, past massive isles of booze, isles of tooth rotting fizzy drinks and again vast acreage of squash (and having read the chemicals they put into the squash I don't want to drink it) to find about 8 shelves of fruit juice!!!

The more I see the way things are going the less I want to be part of it, they are even opening an opticians!

Anyway, got to clean and sterilize some demijohns!

Thanks for reading my rant :)

Philip
