Andy, I've been experimenting with the 'pm' feature - what's the difference between the 'Sentbox' and the 'Outbox'? Test messages that I've been sending to myself go in the Sentbox, but a message that I sent to someone else refuses to move from the Outbox, and remains 'unread' regardless of how many times I read it. I'm not sure if it's been sent at all.

If Blacksmith reads this, did you get any of my attempted replies?

Ther mesages that you send to people should go in the sent box, the outbox I think is saved messages. Rather like some mobile phones. - does that help?

Hmm.. I've tried sending the message twice, but it remains in the Outbox; I expected it to move to the Sentbox at that point. Hard to tell whether it has actually gone or not. Don't really understand about these things.

Mobile phone? Whatever's that?

It appears to stay in an outbox until it is read by the recipient, then it goes in the sent box. - So it wont appear read until it is by the person you send it to.

The pm's that you send remain in the outbox until the recipient reads them. Then they transfer into the sent box. (This is the same format as several other forums!).

That way you know when the recipient has received your mail.

Damn clever, this modern technology.

If I'd been younger than 15, I'd doubtless have know all that without ever having had to ask anybody.
