Putting in your PIN number backwards to alert the athorities

This has been circulating around the net for a little while now, sounds great you put in your PIN number backwards and the police in that area will get a call to come and help you. You will still be able to get money out and your attacker will be none the wiser, except for the fact that it just is not true.

The trouble is that if you have a PIN number like 1881 it is the same reveresed as forward. The bloke that patented the idea just could not convince them to adopt this idea. There is talk of having a second PIN to use to alert the authorities but with many people having multiple cards and also forgetting their PIN again there is a huge margin of error.

So sorry just have to hope that the cash machine has a camera inside it if you get forced to take money out.
