"The truth about food"

Do you think The Good Life could be remade, with me or Dave playing Tom Good (maybe not!)? If you have seen something on TV or heard something on the radio recently that you want to talk about, tell us here.

Are you sure you mean squirm inducing Martin? :geek:

Switched it on, and then switched it off again.

We recorded it but haven't watched it yet. What was so awful? It was really interesting last week.

it was erm...........how does one put it to a lady? :?
(better rephrase that too!)..........the sort of thing that's usually shown after 11 on Channel 4, designed for sad perves..........it was embarassing to watch - unnecessarily sleazy, totally unlike last week's which was a bit tabloid-ish, but fun!

This is hysterical.

You know when something is highlighted to death in the media - like a banned book or something - and everyone rushes out to buy it?

I actually imported Salman Rushdie's Satantic Verses from America to find out what the fuss was about. I never did finish it.

Loads of folk who didn't see the programme will be checking the net to see when it is next one to find out what we missed.

So - when is it repeated, and if it isn't - who is gonna tell us poor souls who missed is what the heck happened to be so offensive?

Gosh, I'm SUCH a back-garden-fence gossip!

Thanks, Shirlz.

Actually, this was on in the background for a couple of minutes and I turned it off. Didn't even realise it was that programme

Something quite amusing - at the bottom of the page you sent, it gives you two options :

Not Like This : Ray Mears Wild Food

Incidentally, my point was proven with the viewing figures for the Jade Goody/Big Brother eviction last night.
Apparently they were sky high.
Folk wanting to know what all the fuss was about.
Result for Channel 4, methinks?

Actually, I think the whole thing is rather interesting. I had heard of the radio that the BB ratings were slipping and they (C4) were desperate to up their ratings. Nice tidy little result, there, then. I wonder how much of the whole thing was manipulation or just good luck for C4?
