I went to WHSmith's yesterday and they had a number of coppies of this book for £5 each!! I remember when I go t mine years ago it was £20 and I had to order it!

Well spotted, Dibnah. As a result of your post I now own a copy.

Presumably a nationally applied discount, but worth checking; mine was still stickered at 'Half Price £10', but when I got to the till, it came up at £5.

Bargain.

It has been gradually coming down in price since over the last year. Still sells pretty well, perhaps due to the heavy discount. The first edition did not sell that well at all and DK who now own the publishing rights only published the cover (dust sheet) with another company owning the rights. DK got a very good deal then it went to sell loads.

a really excellent book - had a copy of the first edition when it came out - was given the new edition a year or so ago! - a classic! :dave:
