No never, but probably because I only like chicken (and turkey only for Xmas) as I don't like the taste of game - I don't eat duck or goose or pheasant or anything like that!

Guineas are really noisy and love to roost high (as Camile's roof sitter testifies!) I looked at having some last year but decided they were a bit much for us as we are in a terraced house with a long garden, but if we were in the middle of nowhere(I dream) I'd give them a go. Chicks are now starting to get their first proper feathers on their wings, they don't stay fluff balls for long. I've now moved them into the proper brooder After hatching I leave them in the incubator for a couple of days but put some sawdust down to give them a proper flooring. The great thing about this Fred Carnoe/Heath Robinson contraption is that I just go down the petshop and get another free box and transfer the electrical doohickies across so each hatch is in a clean environment, the pet shop are getting used to me now! they normally have a tower of these boxes just waiting to be chucked out- I've got another that I take shopping and put frozen stuff in, I dare say you could use them as picnic cool boxes too!

kind thoughts
Deb
