Hi Guys

I am off to lancashire a week on sunday to pick up some very special hens

they are from a place called Battery Hen Welfare Trust the lady there rescues battery hens and re homes them. I contacted her and she is going to let me have 6 ladies

of course the journey will depend on defra and whether they can be moved with the avian flu threat

I will of course keep you posted

Maggie

Good luck, bet you´re excited. Sounds like a really good thing this battery-hen adopting.

I just inherited 8 beauties and I´ve become a hen-widow, darling husband keeps popping out to check on them!

They do make you feel like you´re moving along the road to self-sufficientish.

Clara x.

Hi Maggie
Have you got them yet? Do let me know how you get on.

I'm getting mine on the 27th from the battery hen people down in Somerset. I've never had chooks before so I am really excited. The hen house is almost complete and much posher than my own home. I hope they appreciate it!

Zoe
