You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

HANGOVER SOUP

Post: # 44823Post townie smallholder »

With the New Year fast approaching and a good few of us expecting to suffer from a slight hangover I found this recipe which was used as a cure for a hangover during saxon times..

EHESTANDSKACHEN

A Saxon soup for a hangover, taditionally served at lunch on the second day of ancient saxon village celebrations.

From the book “ a celebration of soupâ€Â

That sounds yummy - may just try it regardless of possible hangover!!!

Happy New Year!!

Helen Chris and the monsters
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!
