Anyone that has met me will know that my usual outfit of preference is jeans and a tshirt/sweatshirt/fleece.
Today, I thought I'd make a change and was getting dressed in the bedroom and J walked in while I was putting on a pair of tights...
"Oooh what are they?" he asked... "Tights" said I,
"And what are they for?"
"To keep your legs warm"
"Oh they are lovely, and WHAT'S THAT???"
"A skirt!"
"Oh how lovely, and WHAT are THOSE!!?"
"A pair of boots"
"You look lovely mummy!"
Awwwww... has it really been so long since I wore a skirt that he really can't remember? Well probably not as I do wear a faded old favourite about the house from time to time but it's different - long and flowing and doesn't show my legs.
What's that mum??

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Ol' Boots!! Don't worry - twas only really the sunshine that was to blame. Such a lovely day. We went out to the farmers' market in Huntly... bought some homemade cheese and some venison mince and a rabbit and toted my shopping trolley about the square... Yep, I've got a shopping trolley. I picked it up from Freecycle and it really does make life easier. No more arms dangling down around my ankles with heavy shopping bags and a 3 year old running riot... I've even got J to pull the trolley about too. I'm going to customise it, might even put the Neeps logo on it too ;)
Right... back to my jeans now cos I've got to go and do some digging before the sun goes down.
We've got a total lunar eclipse to look forward to tonight here - hoping that the clouds don't get in the way too much!

My daughter one walked into the bathroom and asked "Mum, when god made you did he use bits of man?"
I said "No. Why?"
And she replied "well have you seen the state of your legs!!"
She also advised (some time ago, before I met Chris, I hasten to add) that if I wanted to find a man I had to go shopping for clothes that make me not look like me, run like they do on Bay watch, flick my hair and then hit him with my hand bag into which I had conveniently placed an elephant!!
There then followed an in depth discussion between her and her brother about how I could fit an elephant into my hand bag. The eventual solution was that it was an inflatable elephant!!!
Are you now as worried about my kids as I am????
PS I didn't need the inflatable elephant - a can of pina colada did the trick!! lol

Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!
