I had to do a bit of research for that, too. Acronym Finder came up with 34 meanings.

I think it's probably not a Resistance Protein Gene, and maybe not a Radioisotope Power Generator. Doubt it's the Reuse Planning Group (though that sounds interesting), and in this context, a Role Playing Game sounds unlikely.

I feel confident that neither Nev nor Fee would ever dream of suggesting use of either a Repeating Plasma Gun (from Star Wars), or a Rocket-Powered Grenade. Would they?

No, I reckon that they must have been refering to some sort of Rotary Pulse Generator (whatever that is). Am I right?

Bingo! There is nothing like an RPG to get you a little respect, especially in traffic. There is a local army guy being prosecuted at the moment for stealing ROCKET LAUNCHERS and selling them to criminal elements! Serious stuff. (and no it wasn't me that bought them! )
