Hooray I've finally got a plot!!!

Post: # 55000Post pskipper »

Sad though it is, today is one of the most exciting days for a long time!!!

After 5 years of waiting I've finally got an allotment plot, it's been neglected for a year so I've spent this evening with a friend starting to clear the masses of dandelions which have taken over. I'm quite chuffed though as it has established strawberries and fruit bushes and there are some leeks poking their heads through the undergrowth :)

today is the traditional day to collect dandelions for dandelion wine.

Congratulations on your plot!

I must be getting tired: I read the title as "I've finally lost the plot"

Sorry. And massive congratulations!

Congratulations! I got my plot in Feb and it's now fully ploughed and rotavated but we had to cut down lots of the brambles first! We've got a lovely patch of rhubard crowns which are huge!
Shame you've been on the list for 5 years and this plot has been empty for 1 though!
Enjoy!

5 years, you must be over the moon. You should have just enough time to get stuff in the ground, good to see that you have some stuff already. We found rhubarb and raspberries on ours and I am still pretty chuffed with those.

Signed the contract today, the lease officially starts on friday so I've taken the day off :) Will do a little gorilla (guerilla?) weeding over the next couple of evenings though :)
