Most of the junk is gone!

Post: # 58228Post yugogypsy »

Its gone, its finally gone-one more pick-up truck load and it ALL gone :hello1:

One more shed and one more trailer to clean out and the junk will be GONE.

Found a home for the yards of plastic plumbing pipe and somebody to deliver them :wav:

All that will be left is firewood and lumber-HURRAY! :hello1:

A clean yard-almost and the house is not far behind.

I am rejoicing in seeing the end of 14 years of junk accumulation.

 Lois

When we moved to our present location, it had been rented out for about 10 years, so there were piles of grass clippings, old motor body parts, a complete 125cc Honda motorcycle, ( that I gave to one of my neighbours, in exchange for some telephone wiring work). There was piles of tins, bottles, general junk. I had to hire a very large rubbish skip. (£110.00). And I was VERY glad to see all that GONE.

Well done you!! We're in the process of dejunking too but we are both hoarders and we keep picking up more stuff from freecycle for the Neeps! group.... ok this ISN'T junk, but it does take up space in our garage/house/stables.

At one time you could scavenge stuff but now they don't allow it because of safety. Anything that is left as recyclables is taken to a large shed run by the council, sorted, cleaned and electrical goods are checked and then sold. The money charged just covers costs. There are still some good bargains to be had.
