According to google it is, from the Ancient Mariner, but i don't quite get all the references

Yep it was the sea. Can't say I know the Rhyme of the ancient mariner that well to get all the references either. I think it is just called the ancient mariner as a clue to it being the sea.

Hmm as for this one. I think it might be a wordy one. - something to do with letters in one and not the others. Just got up so brain is not functioning enough to work it out as yet.
