Hiya Magenta flame, and welcome!

I spent 8 wonderful months in Victoria, half a lifetime ago... Well, 1984/85. Don't think I could bear the heat nowadays!

Wow you guys, this site is amazing!
I've just been pouring over it in the last day and it's so chock-a-block full of info, I'm very impressed. Telling my friends immediately.

Thank you for the Welcome and glad to see that you all know where I am and happy you are familiar with my state. (Well, it's not exactly MY state, I don't own it YET  )

I'm in Gippsland Victoria but will be moving north within the next year.(within VIC) Not quite sure where yet but I'm expecting a very different climate which is essentially why I am here. I have established fruit trees that I want to take with me, hopefully. I can't bare the thought of nurturing great trees and then leaving them behind for someone else to enjoy or rip out.
I've had a bull ,a cow, raised lambs, and chickens. I'm learning how to bottle fruits and veges. I make my own clothing and soft furnishings, and recently finished a rag tie bathmat (I'll be doing that again in the future.)

Anyway, again thanks for the welcome, and on with the show! :flower:

So much so that I ran off and googled to see where Gippsland is! Actually I have been there back in the mid 80s and think I stayed in a youth hostel in Lakes Entrance, but I don't remember it!

Anyway I do at least know where Victoria is.

Well, the Wombats will be coming over next year, too - looks like it's going to be an Aussie meeting here! Maybe you can all hire a coach once you are here and do the grand tour!
