What about the additional warming effect, air travel is up to 4 more times more damaging than ground travel. Mind you I am guessing that these cars will not fly high enough for that to really matter.

Why we can't invest more money into having a transport system like say Japan I don't know. If trains were a cheaper and faster way to travel than driving there would not be so much talk of ludicrous things like flying cars.

and if busses were reliable too... and preferably cheaper. bus fare round here seems to go up a notch every week.
