Thanks Shirlz. Your link came up with page not found but I deleted the last bit and managed to get the homepage up. Its not the same as the link earlier. The link ealrier was for an internet broadcasting site - how strange is that?

Yep ... one step at a time .. and the best way to sort the wheat is to stop it after a week you should have an Idea if your feeling better ad two week if no better than it could be something else ... so no bread, biscuits, cakes, breakfast cereals and you must read lables ... If it contains wheat/ gluten just give it a mis for a while ... you can get to like potato a lotchadspad wrote:Yes with pasta. Hi Chad,
As Silver Ether wrote, it could be the wheat, I have to watch labels(even some soups have modified wheat starch)
I went no wheat, eating rice and egg noodles for a while and that really helped.
I do get a bad attack if I even have to have a 'hurry up" lunch like canned ravioli.
Colloidial silver is supposed to help, and the probiotics do help the bloating and weird stomach noises.
Peppermint helps the gas, and try a drop of oil of oregano under your tongue each morning.
Sorry I haven't been more help

I will try the wheat free thing - altho does that mean beer too????
I love potatoes so thats not a problem but beer could be disastrous!

Yes Chad,
I'm afraid that means beer too
I don't drink it, but no fermented stuff at all-NO alcohol, sorry but thats the way it goes.
Keep your portions of potatoes smaller, sunchokes are even worse for making gas even if you peel them.
But the best advice I can give you is READ labels, and watch for wheat-switch to tamari from soy sauce is one.
Rice breads are available, but are costly here. See what you can find there.

Right I am setting myself a week with no wheat at all. Ive just been shopping and had to walk past all those lovely smelling fresh breads
Never mind - found some heavy, brown bread type stuff in the section with soya milk. It said it contained farine (which is flour in French) but it wasnt blé (which is normal wheat flour) it was something else. I will have to take my dictionnary next time.
Ok I know Im stalling with this no alcohol thing but why cant I drink something other than beer as long as it doesnt contain wheat? Or is there wheat in yeast? Just bought loads of vodka drinks instead!
