Maybe a wee bit overstated but im totaly and advocate of everything Seymour-esk

The Fat of the Land (1961). London: Faber & Faber. (With illustrations by Sally Seymour.)

The Self-Sufficient Gardener (1978). Londoon: Dorling Kindersley

The Forgotten Arts And Crafts (2001). London: Dorling Kindersley.

The New Complete Book of Self-Sufficiency (2002). London: Dorling Kindersley. (with Will Sutherland.)

The Self-Sufficient Life and How to Live It (2003). London: Dorling Kindersley. (with Will Sutherland.)

These are the pick of the crop - with more UK centric ones +.

I have made do with older versions of many on my sad student budget but am realy hanging out for "The forgottena arts and crafts" - had 12-14? times from the library . . .

Thank you Jed...one of my favourites, alongside Frances Moore Lappe 'Diet for a Small Planet' and the pictorial guides to The Lakeland Fells.

Or try an inter-library loan.
