Mail Order Seeds

As it’s about time to start planting I need to buy my seeds.
In the past I have got them from Suttons via their website, and although they are probably not the cheapest I've never had any complaints.

Where does everybody else get theirs? Has anyone got any tips to share?

Has been mentioned on this site before. I just ordered there yesterday for the first time. They have a very nice selection, I think. For the rest I order at a Dutch and a Belgian seed house and puchase some packets at the local garden centre.

For those who read Dutch: www.denieuwetuin.be and www.vreeken.nl. Both have very interesting varieties.

I'm a suttons fan. their website can be slow (prolly eveyrone else buying at the same time) but you can save an order part way through.. etc, and they have not failed me yet

I thought that about suttons and dobbies web site, identical looking products etc, but because we get a 50% off through the allotment soc. my main seed purchase is through Dobbies.

I haven't bought anything from realseeds but I like their site and will do.
T&M have some good offers and different products and I do buy things from them.

But my favourite for slightly out of the ordinary is seedsofitaly.co.uk

I have had real trouble on several occasions with a certain organic catalogue. Sometimes the order took weeks to arrive, some times there would only be a part order with the missing items appearing long after the planting time.

I ordered a catalogue via their web site before Christmas and am still waiting. Maybe I am just unlucky

Why can't all the suppliers be like Moles Seeds? Often placed an order from them in the late afternoon (speak to a human on the phone too!) and the order arrived the following morning! The quantities are very large so sadly the only really suit commercial growers or societies.
Seeds of Italy have some great value tom seeds (one packet can have 300 seeds rather than, erm 16 like most other seedsmen!) and Plants of Distinction have a fantastic and mind boggling variety of toms and peppers/chillies. It's run by a small team so the service is very good, although can be slightly slow when they are very busy, although to their credit the usually tell you that once you have placed your order!
