Any free pattern sites for handbags?

Post: # 81566Post Mare Owner »

The strap on my purse is about to break. I can fix it, but I thought it would also be a good idea to consider making a new one myself. It will take me some time to sew (I am a novice sewer!). And with a new one coming along, I will be less tempted to buy one at the store!

Anyone know any good free pattern sites that have handbag patterns?

Thanks!

I downloaded a simple programme called wild things from wild ginger (you´d have to google it) - it lets you put in your own dimensions for different types of bags (and other stuff) and gives you a custom pattern.
The instructions seem easy enough to understand - I haven´t yet made the yoga bag I intended to.

Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

I'm exactly the same username on there.

For knitters and crocheters, there's Ravelry (www.ravelry.com) as well now.

That just as addictive!

If you're good with a hook or pair of needles, there are lots of knitted bags out there too!

ok I'm totally craftster hooked.
yet again I'm mrsflibble. not posted yet though. got to upload the pics of my latest slug to do that. Made him for my little brother out of some bits of hawaiian shirt, some BS safety standard eyes and a squeaker from the hobbycraft sale.
