Bugger
I have been in Melbourne and stopped in near the city on the way home from the airport for a feed (Indian). When I got back to the car some @@#$$%&! had smashed a rear window and stolen my computer (laptop)

Oh that is awful Nev....
I hope you are insured! Hope that there was nothing of huge importance on the laptop - if anyone stole mine they'd have my life on it... (off to back up now!)
What a horrible thing to have happened to you. Big hugs.

Ban news mate, the same thing happened to me a while back. It ended up being a 14 year smack head who took it. I was asked if I wanted to meet him, I declined.
Anyway I sencond that I hope that noting too important was on it.
Stew - maybe just a bit of finger.

Thanks for the kind words guys!
It is a company laptop (Boy will I be popular) and most of the stuff is backed up but there were data CDs that I don't have back ups for. I also lost some paperwork that I had done in Mlebourne but all up it could have been worse. I reported it to the police but I don't expect to hear from it again.
That's the way it goes I suppose (No fingers off please!

'Twas irony, Nev, or at least my attempt at it.
I defend John's right to express his views, ideas and opinions to the hilt, whatever they may be. Seriously, I do. But, John, I also reserve my right to disagree with you. I fully expect you to want to defend your position, too, but ask you not to get too upset if you find your views are not carried by your audience. Personally, I thought it was a pity that The Management locked what could have been a lively debate (interestingly, I also found myself disagreeing with many points raised by others, too).
Anyway, Nev, I hope the loss of data isn't to disrupting. It's amazing how we come to rely on things that a short while ago we didn't even own, and then, when they are taken from us it can have a big impact upon how we've organised our lives.

Any way it's shame you have locked the chat forum dealing with crime and punishment,as I'm sure other members would have liked to have heard about what you are talking about now,on it.
Plus it looks like I'm not the only one who can't spell, without your spell check.
THANK YOU FOR ASKING ME TO JOIN IN.

John - nice to see you actually join in on something other than the threads you start. Why don't you join in more often? I'm sure with all the veg you grow you must have experience to impart to others.

But if someone who was a successful gardener tried my idea and they got a good result, then people would want to know more from the both of us,but until then I can only prodic what could be,if people are willing to try things.
I will try to join in more, but I'm not very good with words, thank you anyway. May you live long and happy. John.JRP.
