my name is Tally and i am a selfsufficient-aholic

sadly i only have a very small south-facing, white-wash walled, backyard rather than lots of garden space (in my dreams...) so everything i grow is in various containers or growbags. last year i manged to grow... spring onions, spinach, watercress, tomatoes, aubergine, peas, squash, various types of lettuce, radish, mustard, strawberries, chillis, cucumbers, peppers, herbs and a compost heap!
this year i hope to add a few more - climbing courgettes, cherry tomatoes, potatoes, sweet peas, insect-loving flowers like poached egg plants and marigolds.
at the moment i am very excited as i just bought a lean-to greenhouse (in plastic rather than glass as its about an 1/8th of the price and i am on a strict budget) that is now up and ready to be filled with the plants that are currently squatting on my kitchen windowsills and shortly to be evicted big-brother style...
i would like to ask if anyone on here has any experience of growing in a plastic greenhouse? i know i am very lucky to have such a sheltered growing spot (plus being 5 mins walk from the beach means that we very rarely get ground frost, only occasional air frosts and snow almost never lays for long) but i am really hoping that it will extend my growing season to about 10 months of the year (march to december)... last year i was still picking tomatoes off the vine in late october!
also, if anyone has any tips or experiences they would like to share re: growing vegs in small spaces/ containers i am all ears
