Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Question ... I have found one of these in my garden ... I wasn't sure what it was .. "fungi fear" but I am now ... the question is ... some creature has been nibbling the stem and I wandered if I leave it alone will I get more Morels ...
The nibbles could be slugs, as they like them. If it was growing out of bark mulch you'll probably get more because the mycelium (plant like part) will be under the surface. Carefully scrape awy some soil near the base of your fungi and look for white-ish mould/strand like material. If you find some, don't disturb it because that's what it is, just cover it back up and keep your fingers crossed!
You're right about the work of art thing - I've just spent ages photographing them, they're so beautiful to look at.
