pest identification - help!

Post: # 124247Post Tinker »

Hello

Please can someone help me identify this thing that's eating my young fruit trees? (See pictures below)

Should I be worried or will they not do too much harm?

Thanks!

It's a Pear Slug, also known as the Pear Sawfly

Thanks everyone. Pear sawfly it is! It doesn't look like a normal slug, as it seems to have very small legs underneath - imagine a cross between a small tadpole and a caterpillar. Weeeeird.
