pennybun or not

Post: # 124661Post cruixman »

hi guys n girls. i picked 2 pennybuns the other day. or at least i thought i had. i first one tasted great usual flavour. the other larger one. whicich had a lighter coloured top. but looked the same otherwise. but back to my story. i had it in the fridge for around 3 days. then of the day of eating
when i was preparing the mushroom. i sliced it into slices. and had a sniff. it smelt different. and a few minutes after slicing it had faint pink dots thru it. being alreadt put off by the smell. i discarded it. and used my tried n trusted chanterelles. can anyone tell me. what type of mushroom. this may have been. or was it maybe just a more mature mushroom. all replies appreciated. many thanks.

jim
