This looks like a fantastic way to spend a holiday! Why didn't I find this when I lived in Herefordshire - Builth Wells (beautiful place) was only 45 mins away then.
"Bicycle Beano holidays are cycling idealism come true – the tours combine the best countryside in Wales, the quietest roads, gorgeous accommodation and a superb bounty of home-made vegetarian food." – The Sunday Times
"Great cycling country and Bicycle Beano are warmly recommended for value for money fun." – Cycling Plus magazine
"Bicycle Beano specializes in excursions that allow cyclists to explore the idyllic landscape of England and Wales and enjoy delicious home-cooked vegetarian cuisine." – VegNews magazine
Cycling holidays on the peaceful country lanes of the Snowdonia and Pembrokeshire national parks, the Wye Valley, the Welsh Borders, and the Vale of the White Horse.

Who Comes on Beanos?
There are usually 16 to 28 people on each beano – a mixture of singles and couples. On average there are equal numbers of women and men. Most people bring their own bikes (touring, mountain bikes, hybrids, tandems etc). 60% of Beanoers have been before. All ages are welcome. As long as you can cycle a minimum of 30 miles a day without falling apart, you will enjoy a Beano.
Who is Bicycle Beano?
We are Jane Barnes and Rob Green. We started organising cycling holidays in 1982 after working for Friends of the Earth etc. Bicycle Beano was set up to be environmentally-friendly from the beginning and was nominated for a green tourism award at the 1990 Berlin Travel Show. We have remained true to our ethos for the last 24 seasons. Rob is co-author of Cycle Tours Around Birmingham, published by Phillips.
2006 is our 25th season. We only offer 2 week-long beanos and 4 long weekends a year – we have no desire to grow into a multi-national conglomerate. We enjoy the sociability and the cycling. We cycle along on all the Beanos, and have one or two helpers bringing up the rear.
See our Meaning of 'Beano' page for a brief explanation of the word 'beano'.
Children
Under 18-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult and have good road sense. If you want to bring children, please contact us first to discuss possibilities and safety issues. The following discounts apply for children who share their parents' bedroom and are attached to an adult's bike: 60% discount for 3 to 5-year-olds, 20% discount for 6 to 12-year-olds, babies free.
Bike Rental
Most people bring their own bikes. However, if you need to rent a bike, a limited number of hybrid bikes are available from PedalAway (or Snowdonia Cycle Hire on the Snowdonia Beano). Please contact us for details, with "Bike Rental Details" in the subject.
Sorry, bike rental is not available on the White Horse Weekend.

Re: Bicycle Beano - Fab Holiday idea
I remember this lot from 24 years ago. I never actually went on one, but new several people who did, and they all said it was good.
Good to hear they are still going.
