We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.

Greetings from Gloucester

Post: # 147300Post Seraphim »

Hey :)

I'm one of those people that has known about this website for a looong time; yet I have only just got around to registering. I've been trying to live a more 'self-sufficientish' life for a couple of years now, but it's a little tricky as I have no garden and a very tiny home; but still I bimble along. Windowsill lettuce, tomatoes, herbs etc - keeping trying!

I love to craft and cook and bake, I make all our bread (all being my fiance and I), cakes, biscuits etc. I'm a bit of an organic nut and so everything I buy from the shops is organic, and I limit myself to £20 worth of shop purchases a week and everything else.... self-sufficientish!

Still learning a lot which I hope this site will be able to help me out with - I moved to Gloucester nearly 3 years ago, and to be honest haven't met anyone here with similar interests to my own, it's a slightly unfriendly town. Did meet some nice people in Bristol though, so all is not lost!

Rambling. Will stop.

Looking forward to talking to you all

Hello from a Gloucester born and bred! I now live in the forest of dean, so not far away if you need to meet someone who might share one or two of your values!

It sounds like are doing great with your small space - I admire what you are doing.
