fishing around macclesfield area/ general

Post: # 152912Post johnathan »

Wonder if someone could help me

I used to do some fishing on the sea. Loved it. And I would like to fish again, also catching your tea that night was a great feeling.

However I don’t live near the sea. And from what I see, canal, rivers, lakes etc you cant remove the fish, must be put back. Is there anywhere that people know around the Macclesfield area or a general thing, where you are allowed to fish and take home your catch?

cheers

If you're into fly fishing then there's always Wincle Trout Farm, not sure what the licence / fee is but that's one place I've always loved going for walks when I lived in Macclesfield and stopping to watch the fly fishermen.

Added bonus, the Ship Inn just up the road used to be lovely!
