Comfrey tea

Post: # 163370Post Gray »

Has anyone made Comfrey Tea ? I started to 'ferment' mine some months past, added a few nettles and used it today (diluted approx 20:1) for my tommy's.

I can smell it in the house !! Is it really mean't to smell like sewer gas ? Or is it a case the stronger the better - as my nan would say "its not mean't to taste nice, its mean't to do you good"

Yep, that's what it smell like.
Very akin to partially rotted cow manure, and you know how good that stuff is on your garden.

Yes very strong stink! Position it well away from your house - right at the end of the garden! But really worth it. My tomatoes just shot up last year after using it.

The marginly better new is you can brew it for only 2 weeks if you like rather than months- and I keep a lid on mine for obviuos reasons!
