Greetings from Chester / South Shields, England

Hello!

Decided to join the forum after purchasing the rather ace self-sufficient-ish bible! I'm an MA student currently living in Chester, North West England, but originally from South Shields, North East England! I'm here to talk to like-minded people and get more involved with all things of the environmentally conscious nature and other fun and creative topics! My slightly limited 'self-sufficient-ish CV' so far includes a thoroughly inspirational visit to the CAT centre in Wales and an involvement with a People&Planet group in uni, part of which involves an allotment we have literally just gotten our hands on. Apart from that I consider myself pretty well read on Climate Change, resource depletion and self-sufficiency etc and have a strong interest in things like Transition Towns and community energy and parcipatory economics. Of course, I also have a social life and I love watching live music and going to the pub as well as other things I won't bore you with! Mainly, I'm here to meet people and do my bit to help =)
