sorry yet another question..I'm new on here ..and although disastrous at growing anything...can't seem to stop trying....

When rocket goes to flower... is that is? Do you have to dig it up and start over..or will you still get edible leaves too? :sunny:

Once it goes to seed, you will find the leaves to tough and too hot to be worth eating. Let it go to seed and either collect the seed and sow when and where you want it or just let it self-seed where it is.

If mine goes to flower I just let it self seed - I think I read somewhere that the leaves are a bit bitter after they've flowered but I could be thinking of something else

Don't appologise for asking questions...that's the ONLY way to learn. Ask away, but don't be surprized if you get several different answers; us gardeners all have our favourite technique!

Actually this is a good point, I've always pulled it up at this point but does it cross with anything or does self seeding really work with rocket?

...questions I never knew I had....

the hoverflies LOVE the flowers too - I deliberately let some set seed for that purpose. :flower:
