I've just had a look - I'm very interested in agroforestry (we do that here in a way, forestry with sheep...). However, I'm quite amazed that James Lovelock is a patron of that trust. Has anybody come across him anywhere? I'm just trying to read a book of his - I think the title is "Revenge of Gaia". Although he has some sensible ideas, he sees the only salvation of our energy problem in lots and lots of nuclear power!!!

Plus, the book is written in an awful style and I simply can't get on with it... I'll write a review when (or if) I manage to get through it.

At the risk of hijacking Gunners' post, I have recently come across James Lovelock at www.pantheism.net
He's an advisor to them, apparantley.
He made his name as the scientist/engineer who developed the equipment that showed DDT in the blubber of seals, etc., a discovery that led to the subsequent ban of that insecticide. NASA employed him to oversee projects to determine life on Mars.
