Well i never!

Due to an ulcerated leg, i've been unable to work our veg plot since last Sept., so it's been left fallow. As a result we were resigned to having to buy our veg this year. But lo & behold!!...... thro' the weeds we have parsnips, garlic, onion, caulies & cabbages doing nicely, which are from last years plantings (but didn't germinate)...... all is not lost! Incidentally, last years sowing of psb is now producing spears like there's no tomorrow, so the harsh winter didn't do them any harm! Oh, i forgot to mention 4 leeks also. Sometimes when things are looking glum............ you never know
it's either one or the other, or neither of the two.

Well there's no point gardening anymore. We may as well leave it to nature :pirate:
Very pleased you have food and I hope your leg gets better.

Excellent. You obviously deserve a little helping hand from nature.

Thats great news!! At least a bit of homegrown food might cheer you up a little.

I hope the leg heals soon. My FIL has the same issues with his legs, and is really struggling to get them to heal. What have you been using on it? FIL has tried honey, pressure dressings, silver dressings, different creams etc. He has a nurse that comes every other day to dress his legs, and she has mentioned using maggots :?

Thats wonderful,it happened to me once, I thought I was just asking too much of myself to do battle in the garden again after being ill..so I went just so see..and there was the most amazing cauliflower I have ever seen just waiting to be harvested...so I started to pull a few weeds ,,and then,,,still gardening..
Sorry about your legs..
maggots will eat away dead tissue and take the area back to beautiful pink which can heal again...but not a DIY thing to do.
At least you have a Better chance of healing having healthy veg to eat.
