Procedure is to lay a row of commercial toilet paper along the row. If it is windy, which is usual the, paper is held in place with spikes. the Paper is wetted and the seeds are carefully placed in position for appropriate spacing, then the row is covered with another layer of paper, and wetted again. The row is then covered with soil, and wetted. The type of carrot is Imperator. The row is 24 feet in length.

This may appear to be work intensive, but thinning is not necessary later, and there is little intertwining of carrots, when pulled.
