neighbours are still moaning about rooster but I don't want to get rid of him as wanted to enter in the local A& P show later in the year, oh well se what happens.
well better get back to unpacking will post pics soon!

Have a wonderful time in your new home, put some eggs the neighbours way and if that doesn't bring them round a bit, just ignore them.

Re: We have moved!!!!!
Plan: Hatch some more roosters, slap the neighbours & indulge in lots of smoky bbqs......
Failing that, yep, give them some free eggs every now & again & otherwise ignore them as you get busy settling in & working the new soil!
Good luck & Congrats!

Re: We have moved!!!!!
Well here's the first update,
Rain, Rain, go away come again another day...
basically it has rained almost since the day after we moved in.. in the brief fine spells the landlords chippee brother has begun building the garage which now stands idle as a rain-soaked frame on mirror wet concrete pad, the wood shed is finished if slightly... well a lot crooked but its water proof, only it won't stop raing long enough for me to pull the tarps off the wood pile to shift it. the frame for boys toy and bike shed is finished but likewise can't get a dry enough patch to put the tin on. we have a completely soaked and bedraggled bunch of chickens and the wifes favourite black silkie bantum passed away with age (we think).
I got two fence posts in the ground beforwe the holes started filling up with water faster than I could dig then out, the clothesline pole is in but can't hang out any washing, but thats life.
the greenhouse frame almost completed but cannot put it up until I can find some more unwanted wood to make the crossbeams. The good news is that the nosey neighbours from hell next door have now pissed off the landlord he going to put up a six foot fence along their side of the property.
one great advantage with the rain it has given me lots of time to read, although I haven't found the box with my jigsawpuzzles in yet which is one of my favourite passtimes during wet weather, well cheers for now... Richard

Re: We have moved!!!!!
I empathise & sympathise Richard!
In our first few weeks here, we found out that having the woods next door with our dogs was NOT a good idea, so I had to fence the whole garden off. OK, I only needed 2 x 1's & chicken wire - we have bassets not elephants - but the weather was heavy rain & freezing for the entire few days that it took me! Luckily, hubby's work jacket fitted me & after the first half hour, I couldn't get any wetter anyway, so just carried on.... 2 days after I'd finished, the rain stopped for a month or so
Good news about your future fence though
As for pastimes, I do a lot of time management games (it's the only time management I'm good at
) but it stops your brain from overworking & exploding with frustration!
