I've had to call a halt to the demolition of the Leylandii - I'd got about 80% there, shaking all of the offshoot branches before cutting them, just in case. Anyway, the just in case worked because I was finally told off rotten by a blackbird which is obviously nesting up there (when I say told off, it was more of a physical attack

). So the garden's fallen quiet again.
Which was nice because we've had the company of a Greater Spotted Woodpecker all day. We don't see too many of those.
