my little garden at home xtension of the lottie
i have a little garden just big enough for us to sit in but i have started to utilise the space i have a old coldframe with netting over in there i have20 or strawberry plants, and in the gaps i have all year round lettuces growing .in the garden i have a bucket of mint growing, and will be putting a few sunflowers in containers with a cane driven into the ground through the hole then put in compost, i also will be putting 8 or so tom plants in containers same principle,i have 20 or so marrow plants growing in me little plastic green house they are a godsend if you have not much space or on a budget,my sunflower plants are about 10 ins high ,on my wall i have giant flat leaf parsley, chives, sage i have basil growing at the lottie nr me carrots and corriander too.i will only use 12 or so courgette marrow plants at the lottie,so hope fully i wont starve alot of my toms will be used for chutney gardeners delight just bung them in principle.so look at your garden and see what you can utilise even if its a postage stamp i need to get back to the lottie tomorrow as those flaming weeds grow fast.all the best

Right, place your bets here - how long before Gunners starts moaning about how sick he is of courgettes/marrows!!
Great use of space in your small garden, by the way!

I have a similar garden, I call it the ledge, we live in a maisonette above a shop and have a balcony/walkthrough, fairly big for a balcony maybe 5metres x 3.5 metres. I have all my herbs in pots here, tomatoes and courgettes in grow bags, salad leaves and radishes in window boxes, strawberries in tubs, flowers - sunflowers, poppies, marigolds, nasturtiums in pots and an apple tree in a large pot! Also have found some carrots that i can grow in pots - parmex - they are round and look a bit like radishes, my daughter loves carrots but they just refuse to grow at the allotment, maybe because we have heavy clay soil.
Anyway, just wanted to say it is amazing how much you can grow in a relatively small space, especially one with no soil! And lovely to see at home too, cant always just pop down the allotment for a 'growing' buzz!
All the best, tinks
