We went for a little wander this lunchtime and picked the following for different jams n jellies:
3lb of Damsons (had over 4lb from the same trees 10 days ago)
4 1/2lb of elderberries
1 1/2 of Blackberries ( a lot are still unripe)
1lb of Haws
3/4lb of Rowan Berries
This lot will be added to the remainder of the apples we cropped at the start of the week.
We also wanted sloes, but were out of luck and all the Rosehips had passed their best.

That's why I have 2.5 freezers so I don't have to worry yet and can do it all when I have time on a rainy day.
Wasn't going to do anything with the hawthorn berries by the way, just hadn't thought to look to see if they were changing colour is all. I prefer to leave things like that for the birds!

Re: A Foraging we did go
We didn't use the rowan berries and haws in the end, I've never used them before, and as we didn't have enough of everything else we needed for the recipe, we did other things instead.
So we now have 5 3/4 wee jars of bramble and elderberry jelly, and a jelly bag of spiced cider and apples on the drip, ready for me to make spiced cider and apple jelly when I get home tonight. And then the plan is to make some elderberry and apple jelly, and some damson jam.
We didn't forage the apples, they came from our garden, I just wanted to make a preserve that wasn't purple - we've already got beetroot chutney, pickled beetroot, and damson & Apple cheese in the cupboards, all of it purple!
Nix
