weird and wonderful quotes

Post: # 213859Post homegrown »

May all your ups and downs be under the sheets - digger (Jhn Doe TV series)
Our remote ancestors said to their mother Earth, "We are yours."
Modern humanity has said to Nature, "You are mine."
The Green Man has returned as the living face of the whole earth so that through his mouth we may say to the universe, "We are one."

George Best
1. I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.
2. I used to go missing a lot... Miss Canada, Miss United Kingdom, Miss World.
3. I've stopped drinking, but only while I'm asleep.
4. In 1969 I gave up women and alcohol - it was the worst 20 minutes of my life.
5. I once said Gazza's IQ was less than his shirt number and he asked me: "What's an IQ?"

I just remembered one a friend to me:
"I'm not going to drink more than I can drink"

I'm not sure he was sober at the time :)

here's some ones of the net

Dog for sale: eats anything and is fond of children - Classified Ad

Live life fully while you're here. Experience everything. Take care of yourself and your friends. Have fun, be crazy, be weird. Go out and screw up! You're going to anyway, so you might as well enjoy the process. Take the opportunity to learn from your mistakes: find the cause of your problem and eliminate it. Don't try to be perfect; just be an excellent example of being human.”
Anthony Robbins quotes (American advisor to leaders)

Life isn't weird: it's just the people in it.”

“In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they're still beautiful.” Alice Walker quotes (American writer, b.1944)

You can't trample infidels when you're a tortoise. I mean, all you could do is give them a meaningful look. - Terry Pratchett

The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity. - Ellen Parr

Life is a mystery, not a problem to be solved - Albert Einstein

How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before beginning to improve the world.
- Anne Frank

I love it! In fact 've just printed it out to hang on my kitchen wall!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

These are my favorite quotes of all time, from my Facebook page. One is blatently stolen from Rosey's signature, but I love it!

I also love the one Stoney had about the pig and how the person who loves the pig the most salts it's pork away carefully, but it was changed before I could copy it...can you remember it if you are reading Stoney?

Anyway:

"Tough situations don't last, tough people do" (Maria Sharapova)

"If you want to be a big man in a small town, f*@K off to the Model Village!"(Hot Fuzz)
...
"I always pass on good advice. It is the only thing to do with it. It is never of any use to oneself" (Oscar Wilde)

"Most people die of a sort of creeping common sense, and discover when it is too late that the only things one never regrets are one's mistakes" Oscar Wilde

"No one can me myself like I can - for this job I'm the best man - although this may be true, you are the one and only you!" (Chesney Hawkes)

"No Mole - No Fee" (seen on back of mole catcher's van)

"Once you know you can live without it
just go on not thinkin 'bout it,
thats the bare necessities of life"
(Jungle Book)
"A pretty face is fine, but what a farmer needs is a woman who can carry a pig under each arm"

Just so people don't think Bonnie was lying and/or off her rocker, my signature used to be the Baloo quote, but I've just changed it.
