5 to 6 inches here. In between the snow showers the sun comes out and it all looks really beautiful.

Our country lane never sees a gritter and is like a sheet of ice, we haven't ventured out in the car for nearly a week now. Luckily we saw the forecast and stocked up on loads of food so think we'll survive
Kind Regards

To the knees with more on the way. We are right on the coast but there is even snow on the beach. We ventured into town today - calling at my mums on the way and had to dig myself out 3 times! So we are fully stocked up and staying here until it's all over!

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.

Very little left of half an inch or so from Saturday :( . More forecast for tonight and tomorrow: keeping my eyes on the school's website so that I know what is happening tomorrow. Loads of soup and bread for the next few days methinks Yum!

Got about a foot, give or take, round here.

But it's falling fast in big prawn cracker style flakes!

About half a millimetre left over from Saturday. More promised tonight for my route to work. I do hope those of you who are snowed in are ok, warm enough and have enough food.

Two or three, but no fresh snow today. We're right next to the sea (well, a few hundred yards away!) and it's said to be very unusual to have snow here, but this is two out of the last three years since we moved up here, so it's not unusual any more!
We all have two gifts we should try to use as much as possible - imagination and humour.
Imagination compensates us for what we are not.
A sense of humour consoles us for what we are.
And wisdom tells us not to worry about it!

We're usually the first up here, this time it seems we're the last, but this morning it's finally arrived.Mind you it's been colder than a polar bears arse for 3 days, -8 so though its only a couple of inches it's going to be chaos, and more snow forecasted.
And my mind thinks back to conversation eat the end of August:

Mrs OJ: '' Darling(made that bit up),seeing as you've still got so much to do on the house, and the kids dual nationality stuff isn't finalised we should put the move (to Basilicata,13 degrees yesterday) back till spring, whatd'you think?

OJ:''NO WAY''

Mrs OJ:'' It makes sense....be realistic.......do things my way for once........blah,blah,blah..etc

OJ:''OK have it your own way'

She's been apologising for a week so far!!!

We're approaching whiteout!!!!!

I can still see the house next door but nothing much beyond that, the snow is falling so thick and fast.

This would be really exciting if I didn't have to get my gal down to Inverness for a hospital appointment on Thursday. :(

Lol! My OH - previously a city boy - used to complain about me hoarding food - not now. As he pointed out yestreday, we could live for at least a month on our store cupboard!
