Excellent idea for all those people with just a green house frame and no glass sat in the garden

Kind Regards

Re: Cling film green house
Thank you :)
We couldn't afford the plastic right now that we needed to cover it and we'd been given this huge roll of cling film ages ago so it suddenly dawned on us that why didn't we give it a go ... nothing to lose. It only has to last one summer and hopefully we'll grow lots of toms, chillies and cucumbers etc in it.

That is seriously brilliant! I love it!
We all have two gifts we should try to use as much as possible - imagination and humour.
Imagination compensates us for what we are not.
A sense of humour consoles us for what we are.
And wisdom tells us not to worry about it!

Re: Cling film green house
Am I the only one thinking that must have been a bugger to do! Or am I the only person who gave up using clingfilm years before any health etc concerns because I just couldn't get it out of the box without spending hours trying to flatten it out.
Brilliant job Sky - I hope it lasts you longer than a year for all that effort.

Re: Cling film green house
In the past I thought of wrapping our greenhouses in clingfilm for the winter, because each year the wind would smash so many panes of glass. But I never got round to finding a big roll of clingfilm, and as we have a polytunnel we now don't bother with the greenhouses in winter but leave them with a number of panes taken out so the wind whistles through without smashing the glass.
Hope when the clingfilm disintegrates, you can dget it off easily and doesn't end up everywhere.

It took us about an hour Grean Aura, it was a huge wide roll of commercial grade wrap that we'd been given so not as thin or fiddly as the little rolls of cling film.Green Aura wrote:Am I the only one thinking that must have been a bugger to do! We've still got plenty left so if it looks terrible after the summer and it was a success for growing veg in, we'll take it off and next spring use the last of the roll.

My hubby built all the frame too out of lengths of aluminium that we'd also been given so the greenhouse has literally cost us nothing to make .... just our time.
