Goodlife gives birth!

Post: # 21883Post Goodlife1970 »

Hi all! Been a bit busy here in the Valleys. My son William Rhodri, arrived three weeks early on 18th May in a bit of a hurry and hes been keeping me busy! Sadly I didnt have him at home but was so glad to be in hospital in the end as he arrived without me,the OH or midwife realising it! Cutting a long story short I spent 14 hours "failing to progress" and the decision was made to take me into hospital and have the waters broken as his head was still high, this didnt do the trick and I had just had an epidural fitted as I was worried about the possibility of a C section and before anything was actually put into the line,I began to feel dizzy and thought I was going to faint and fell backwards. I then heard the OH say totally calmly "Eh up,theres a baby down here!" I opened my eyes to see my son laying at the bottom of the bed and the midwife staring open mouthed at me! He weighed 6 and a half pounds and I can honestly say that I never felt a thing, now thats worrying! Anyway we are both fine and enjoying each others company as well as that of the other three. The only problem is finding the time to do all my jobs! Getting back into the swing of things now and enjoying the good weather and planning lots of new things (and number five!) Hope you are all well and enjoying the season, kind regards to you all!
Now, what did I come in here for??????

Oh, that is just plain delightful. Thankyou for sharing your new baby's arrival with us Goodlife! What a brilliant way to enter the world!!!

Have just sat down, and found this.. and what a brilliant way to start the day.

William Rhodri... Billy Rhodri?? Will he be a Billy? And where has Rhodri come from? Is it Welsh?...like a derivation of Roderick? I love it, and am sure it sounds like a musicians name.

Rock on Goodlife!

Well, from my understanding that would definately mean our Billy will be an artistic soul...

Sensitive, talented, feeling and a tad eccentric or quirky... This is a stand alone man, who will not give a flying barracuda what other folks think of his own funky do's, or fashion - as long as he digs it!

Don't complain if you didn't feel a thing... From what I hear, it could have been a lot worse!
