Hello from Los Angeles!
Hello from Los Angeles!
What Im doing: "cradle-to-grave" orange marmalade, made from sour orange tree in my back yard
Solar panels on roof
Preserving: apricots, strawberries, greenwalnuts, kumquats, whatever extra fruit people have in their backyards
Experimenting with: making nocciello, using rice cooker to make clotted cream
Crops: sweet corn, beans, squash (grown together the way the Indians showed the Mayflower pilgrims ) tomatoes, melons, peppers, camellia sinensis
Trees that are reliable bearers: persimmon, peach, fig, apple, mexican elderberry
Trees that wont bear: almond, nectarine, pomegranate
Looking forward to: dusting off sewing machine, find a place to plant (needs to be squeezed into a tight space) apricot tree, pressure canning a wider variety of food
Livestock: dog and two cats
Is this enough info?

Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!
