Hi from Southampton

Post: # 248182Post alanw0 »

Hello all, stumbled across the site from Google and stayed for a while!
I'm a chef from Southampton with (obviously) a healthy interest in food and the production of it.

I own a small terraced house with my girlfriend and we have started down the selfsufficientish road with planting some veggies and herbs, building a BBQ and have taken on 3 rescued battery chickens. Looking forward to getting some good advice on the forums as we're pretty much blagging it as we go along!

Cheers,
Alan

Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Hi, more and more people I come across (especially on here) have got chickens.

I'd love some but we can't have any just yet (we have a postage sized yard full of pots as opposed to a garden) so good for you.

And welcome!

Hi and welcome! I grew up in Southampton and the New Forest, now live in Denmark, and would really love the weather here to be more like Hampshire!
