cambell ducks

Post: # 259630Post welshmum »

We introduced two new hens to our garden and 4 chucks just over 3 weeks ago. They have settled in well and are leaving eth coop/run to explore. They come back in at dusk on their own. I am probably being a little impatient but just wondered how long before they lay. We were told that they were POL.

campbells normally lay their first eggs between 5 and 7 mths so if they were bought as point of lay they may only be 5mths old so its just a case of patience as it may be a while, but then you may wake tomorrow to find an egg hope this helps
