Eight Red Romaine Lettuce seedlings were planted in the outdoor garden. The seedlings were purchased in flats and placed in individual pots and kept in the greenhouse for a few days to establish strong roots. The local supplier produces good plants and in many cases I find it more expedient to purchase rather than grow my own from seed. The row area was rototilled with the small Honda FG110G to loosen the soil, smoothed, then the seedlings planted. The area will be mulched with wood chips later to retain moisture.
