Compost Advice

Post: # 273269Post paganpeace »

Hello

I am only just getting into my gardening and animal keeping, so forgive me if this is a dumb question but ...Is it ok to add the waste from my chickens and rabbits? Generally it is excrement, straw or hay and some old newspaper.

Thanks

Hi, if you check out a thread called Compost Heap Location, it has comprehensive instructions for composting, but in answer to your question, you can and I compost exclusively chicken, duck, rabbit poo and they are all bedded on shavings.

This link is my favourite for compost making - think it covers everything.
