Hello everyone
I've been absent from the site for a few months, but now I'm back!!
The weather here 'Down Under' is finally starting to improve & I will have to get a wriggle on to get my orchard & vege garden back in order.
The last few months have been devoted to raising calves, but they are all weaned & sold now,
See you all on the Message Boards...

Hi. My dad was in the navy and always said NZ was the best place in the world, and often talked about emigrating there but never did. The word he used most often to describe it was "civilised", but you'd have to know my dad to understand why that was a uniquely complimentary thing to say.

Hi there again, Flippa!

Calves - tell me about it... How many did you have?
Last night some of the suckler cows and their calves got out of the field they'd been put into and decided to "visit" those in the field next to my house. Well, weren't they having a party... Loud - and I mean VERY loud - conversation going on half the night. And the bull on the other side of the track had a word to say to that as well. No wonder I'm tired today! Not much I could do about it in the pitch dark, either - just shut a few gates and prevent them going out onto the road.
