What to get the twins for their birthday?

Post: # 29673Post Bigsis »

I need help! I still haven't got them anything. I bet some of the self-sufficientish crew has some excellent ideas.
A carry-a-bag maybe?

It's Andy n Dave , the moderators here. They are 32 on Sunday. I don't get to see them as much as I'd like and I was hoping that some of the self-sufficienters would have a better idea. While they're away on hols they won't notice I'm asking you!!

PS - I'm their big sister, Sharon.

Get them ONE card - for their 64th birthday... It's environment friendly, saves paper, energy and, if you have to send it, postage - and as twins they surely are used to sharing!

Sorry, that was not very helpful...

How about something for their allotment? Are they planning to plant any trees or bushes that you could buy - or give them a voucher for, if it's not quite the right time of year? Or tools? Or something else they'd like to do, but maybe can't afford as often as they'd like - concert tickets, cinema vouchers, or a meal out?

a small wind turbine for the allotment?

wind up radios? or anything at all solar powered

some cards to put in their bike spokes and make irritating but somehow strangely cool 'clack clack clack' sounds?

or a cow. Its the thought that counts 8)

I knew this would be the place! Love the 64th birthday card idea, although i'll probably e-card them as it takes even less paper!
Tickets is a great idea - I'm sure there's a band playing in Bristol soon they'll want to see.

Wind up radios I think they already have.
Thanks for all the suggestions - I've got a few ideas now, I better not say more as it won't be a surprise!

Ahhhh - hi Bigsis! You're in Northampton, my home town, although I live in Derbyshire now.

I like the wind up radio idea! Good luck
