100 Great Things about Britain

Aberdeen certainly seems to be the green hot spot at the moment!

However, all the more reason for us all to campaign to make our own towns and cities, wake up and smell the sustainable coffee.

"Gonna start a revolution from my bed...."

Britain has a very poor sustainable record. Whilst the Germans are investing in massive wind power schemes and 100,000 solar roofs, we Brits gave up the 7500 roof solar grant scheme after only 3700 installations. Meanwhile the Germans are well on their way to replacing their whole nuclear power indusrty (20%) with wind and solar renewables.

Come on Tony and Fatboy John, please do something useful for the country sometime during your term in office - FFS.

At times like these, we Brits always have a lot to moan about, so I thought I would start a list of what's still great about Britain, as a bit of fun, for all to contribute to. I'll start off with a couple,

An every Aussie goes in search of the Royal Jewels, (because its just a lark coming back and saying you have seen them... it's an Aussie thing, sorry!)

ooops. Just had a flashback, is this supposed to be a Best of the British 101, or the best of British sustainability 101? If so, the above apply to both cos they are all still there, I think...

I realise this has been heavily debated as to the pros and cons, but you also have wind farms, (we only have one down south) and I think I would like to see one if I came back over, so I am gonna add them and then run for cover..... bye!
